Preschool Program
Preschool Combo (Age 3-5): Our popular preschool tap and ballet combo class presenting the basics of dance, coordination and rhythm through movement and songs they love. Students learn important classroom behavior skills such as taking turns, following directions, listening attentively, and showing respect for their peers and teachers. These foundational lessons foster a positive learning environment while helping young dancers build self-discipline, patience, and focus—skills they can carry into other areas of life. Each class meets the needs of the 3 to 5 year old’s development.
Tap & Ballet Combo
Tap is the art of dancing and making music! The feet are our instruments. These classes focus on developing strong tap sounds and rhythm training in the centre and across the floor.
A classical dance form requiring grace and precision. Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. These classes offer a strong focus on technique and musicality. Dancers learn barre work, centre floor work, and across the floor combinations in all classes.
Jazz / Hip Hop
In our dynamic jazz/hip hop dance class, students experience the best of both worlds! Focusing on traditional and contemporary jazz techniques, dancers will build strength and flexibility through targeted stretch and strength training. They'll also enjoy energetic warm-ups that enhance their cardio fitness. As they kick, turn, and leap to age-appropriate popular music, students will dive into the relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere of street style, working on musicality, accent work, and exciting footwork. Classes culminate in fun combinations that blend the essence of jazz with various sub-genres of hip-hop, encouraging creativity and self-expression.
Acrobatics
Our Acro curriculum focuses on the safe development of acrobatic skills, flexibility, and confidence. In each class, dancers are challenged to work on strength, flexibility, balancing skills, limbering movements, and tumbling! Our Acro program follows the Acrobatic Arts Curriculum.
Hip Hop
A street style dance class with a relaxed but fun atmosphere! Dancers work on their strength and cardio through energetic warm ups. They dance down the floor working on musicality, accent work, tricks, and footwork. Classes are finished up with combos in various sub-genres of hip-hop.
Jazz
Jazz class offers a strong focus on traditional and current jazz/modern disciplines in technique, stretch and strength training. In these classes the dancer will turn, kick, and leap to age-appropriate popular music
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a style that combines ballet and jazz dancing techniques. It is performed to music with lyrics so that it inspires expression of strong emotions the choreographer/dancers feel from the lyrics of the song. This style concentrates on an individual approach and expressiveness of such emotions as love, joy, hurt, or anger. Lyrical is introduced as dancers have built a strong foundation and maturity.
Baton
Baton twirling as it is commonly referred to by twirlers and “spinning” professionals, is the beautiful fusion of the dance arts “theatrics” combined with the precision and athleticism of baton manipulation. Often defined by dazzling “tricks”, Baton Arts twirlers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, line and extension with Baton Arts skills within a dance performance context. Baton Twirling is an especially challenging artform to master, as training in dance, theater and baton manipulation are required to produce the most well-rounded twirlers. Baton Arts technique includes: Contact-Full Hand; Contact-Flips and Fingers; Rolls; Aerials; Body; Multiple Baton Manipulation; Team or Group Skills; Dance and related skill development. Our program follows the Baton Arts curriculum.
