Cultivating Potential: Our Approach to Dance Education
We specialize in teaching toddlers, kids, and teens not just how to dance, but how to thrive. Our positive environment empowers them to develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning and self-expression.
We offer a wide variety of classes for beginning through advanced students.
We have something for everyone! Quality dance instruction with focus on proper dance technique, discipline and fun! We offer instruction in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, Pointe, Acrobatics & Baton Twirling. We begin with our youngest students at age 3 through adults. Come visit our studio in Matthews/Stallings! We offer full season classes which run from August-June. We also offer shorter sessions during the summer.
Rising Stars (Preschool)
Our Rising Stars Preschool Dance Program is designed for children ages 3–4 and introduces young dancers to creative movement, rhythm, and foundational motor skills in a joyful, imaginative, and nurturing environment. Through music, movement, and positive encouragement, students build confidence, listening skills, classroom readiness, and self-expression while developing important social skills and friendships. As they learn to follow directions, take turns, and work together, our youngest dancers begin building the foundations for success both in the studio and beyond. At Showcase Dance Centre, we believe dance lessons teach life lessons, and our Rising Stars are learning those lessons from their very first class.

Shining Stars (Kindergarten/1st Grade)
Our Shining Stars program provides Kindergarten and 1st grade students the opportunity to explore one or more dance disciplines in a positive, encouraging environment. Classes combine movement, creativity, and fun while continuing to build the foundations of strong dance technique. As dancers grow, they develop confidence, listening skills, coordination, and responsibility while learning the value of teamwork, kindness, and perseverance. Through supportive instruction and age-appropriate challenges, students build meaningful friendships, celebrate accomplishments, and discover the joy of working together, learning new skills, and growing both as dancers and as individuals.

Our Spotlight Stars program gives 2nd and 3rd grade students the opportunity to explore one or more dance disciplines while continuing to build a strong foundation in dance technique. Classes combine movement, creativity, and fun in a positive, encouraging environment where dancers are challenged to grow both personally and artistically. At this age, students develop focus, perseverance, and goal-setting habits while learning new skills, taking on greater responsibility, and building a positive work ethic. Through teamwork, supportive instruction, and age-appropriate challenges, dancers gain confidence, form meaningful friendships, and discover that hard work, dedication, and persistence lead to success both in the classroom and beyond.

Our Center Stage program gives 4th and 5th grade students the opportunity to explore one or more dance disciplines while continuing to build a strong technical foundation. Classes focus on developing proper technique, strength, coordination, and artistry in a positive and encouraging environment. At this age, dancers are encouraged to take greater ownership of their progress while growing leadership, accountability, and resilience through consistent effort and new challenges. Through teamwork, commitment, and personal achievement, students gain confidence, develop a strong work ethic, and learn valuable life skills that help them become capable, respectful, and self-assured young leaders both inside and outside the studio.

Our Star Performers program gives Pre-Teen and Teen students the opportunity to explore one or more dance disciplines in a positive, encouraging environment. Classes focus on advancing technique, artistry, and performance skills while challenging dancers to reach their full potential. At this stage, students develop discipline, confidence, self-expression, and leadership through consistent training, personal responsibility, and goal setting. Through meaningful friendships, teamwork, and a supportive community, dancers build resilience, strengthen their character, and gain valuable life skills that prepare them for success both on and off the dance floor.

Adult dancers of all experience levels are welcome to join our Adult Tap classes at Showcase Dance Centre in a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment. Whether you're returning to dance after many years or trying something new for the first time, our classes provide an enjoyable way to stay active, learn new skills, and express yourself through movement. Along the way, dancers build confidence, make new friendships, and enjoy the excitement of being part of a positive and welcoming community.
