The Best Dance Studio In Matthews
We specialize in teaching toddlers, kids and teens how to dance, as well as provide them with a positive environment, so that they can develop skills and confidence
What age can my child start dance?
We welcome dancers starting at age 3. Our preschool classes focus on coordination, rhythm, listening skills, confidence, and joy. It’s the perfect introduction to structured learning in a nurturing environment.
Does my child need experience to join?
Not at all. Many of our dancers start with zero experience. We meet each child where they are and help them grow from there.
Can my child try a class first?
Yes. We offer a free trial class so your child can experience our studio before enrolling. We want them to feel comfortable and excited before committing.
What if my child is shy?
That’s completely normal. Our teachers are trained to gently encourage participation while honoring each child’s personality. Some dancers jump right in. Others take a few weeks to warm up. Both are okay. Belonging always comes before achievement here.
What happens during a class?
Classes include structured warm-ups, technique training, across-the-floor progressions, choreography, and positive reinforcement. Younger classes also incorporate creative movement and imagination. Every class is age-appropriate and developmentally designed.
How do I know if my child is progressing?
You’ll see growth in: Coordination, Strength and flexibility, Musicality, Focus and listening and Confidence
When do dancers move up to the next level?
Progression is based on age, skill development, maturity, and readiness. We guide placement carefully so dancers feel both challenged and successful.
What does tuition include?
Tuition covers weekly instruction, professional teaching staff, studio operations, and ongoing training. Tuition is based on total weekly class time.
Are costumes included in tuition?
Costumes are separate from tuition. Each recital class requires one costume. We keep pricing transparent and communicate all deadlines early.
Is there a contract?
We operate on a seasonal commitment (August–June). This structure allows dancers to build consistency, friendships, and real growth.
What happens if we miss a class?
We offer make-up options when available. Consistent attendance is important for both progress and team connection.
Is recital required?
Our June recital is a highlight of the season and a beautiful confidence-building experience. While recital participation is expected for recital classes, we support families if special circumstances arise.
What is recital like?
Recital is joyful, organized, and professionally run. It’s often a child’s favorite day of the year. Families experience the pride of watching their dancer shine on stage. We work hard to make recital exciting, not overwhelming.
How many costumes will my child need?
One costume per recital class. We communicate costume fees and ordering deadlines well in advance.
Do you offer competition?
Yes. Our Competition Company is for dancers seeking additional training and performance opportunities. Placement is by audition and requires additional commitment.
Is competition required?
No. We proudly offer both recreational and competitive paths. Many dancers choose to stay recreational and still receive excellent training.
